Los Olivos, California - The Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Café has a new 2008 schedule of exciting Special Events: On Thursdays, it is a new series of "Understanding Your Palate" New Educational Tasting journeys for novices as well as seasoned wine tasters with special guests sharing wine knowledge starting at 5:00 PM. No reservations are required. $15 per person (Wine Club Members pay $10) includes all wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres.  On Wednesdays Special Tastings, this is our "Evenings with the Winemaker." the public is invited to meet area winemakers as they present five of their selected wines from 5:00-6:00 PM. No reservations are required. $15 per person includes all wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. Live piano music by Bob Cole starts at 6:30PM.

Come join us for a special and memorable evening with Bruno D'Alfonso of DiBruno and Badge Wines & Kris Curran of Curran Wines.  Bruno and Kris have selected five exquisite wines that will be paired with a five-course gourmet meal.   Reservations are required for this limited seating event where those first to pay are first to be seated.  $125 pp all inclusive (includes tax & gratuity).

While the Angeli cuvee is usually a blend of Rhone Ranger grapes, the 2004 is 100% Syrah. It is a large-scaled, deep ruby/purple-tinged red offering intense notes of creme de cassis, smoke, minerals, and spice box, fabulous intensity, tremendous purity of character, and a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, and wood. Drink this beautiful Syrah over the next 7-8 years.
