Ramey 2008, Syrah, Rodgers Creek Vineyard, Sonoma Coast, California Wine, 750ml
94 Antonio Galloni, Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate
The cool climate brings out the savory characteristics of the variety, as opposed to its jammy, fruity side, and one finds here aromas and flavors of smoked meats, white pepper, green olive and grapefruit, with an almost Pinot-like texture and balance on the palate; definitely not a blockbuster style.
Our price: $62.00
Sine Qua Non 2008 Grenache, 'The Duel', Eleven Confessions Vineyard, Sta. Rita Hills, California Wine, 750ml
97 pts Robert Parker
Sine Qua Non’s 2008 Grenache Estate The Duel boasts extraordinary richness, power and sheer depth. Tobacco, leather, mint and spices are woven together in this large-scaled Grenache. There is plenty of intensity here. The 2008 is 82% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 2% Viognier and 1% Roussanne, all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills. A portion of the Grenache was fermented using whole clusters. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023.

Sine Qua Non 2008, Vin de Paille Roussanne, California Wine, (750 ml), (375 ml)
pure nectar of honeyed marmalade, waxy, syrupy honeysuckle, exotic creme brulee, and citrus. The remarkable acidity cuts through the extraordinary sweetness, so the impression is fresh and vibrant. Krankl has pulled off a marvelous balancing act with this cuvee. How long will it last? I have no idea - maybe 50-100 years, but given the fact there are only 235 cases of half bottles, most of it will be consumed before 2020." 96 Points Robert Parker!

Sottimano 2007 Barbaresco, 'Cotta', Piemonte, Italy, 750ml
Intense aromas and flavours of fresh strawberries, other red fruits, cherry stones, exotic spices, and minerals, refreshed by cherry-like acidity and supported by grainy, soft, sweet tannins. Great balance, depth and persistence. 90 Points Wine Spectator.
Our price: $68.00
Yves Gangloff 2009 Cote Rotie La Sereine, French Wine, 750 ml
96 Points Wine Spectator
Offers very alluring warm ganache and mesquite aromas, which meld into the core of mulled plum, fig and anise flavors. Long and silky through the finish, with incense and white pepper weaving in and out, along with lots of buried grip. There's a very distinctive personality to this wine. Best from 2013 through 2026. 290 cases made.
