Alban 2010 Viognier, Central Coast, California Wine, 750 ml. A new vintage of Viognier from California's preeminant Rhone Ranger, John Alban. This wine always receives high ratings, and the cool 2010 vintage serves his style particularly well. Fermented and aged in barrels sourced from France, dried to Alban's specifications with no toast. This is incredibly bright and lifted Viiognier, with stone fruits, white flowers and spice coming through, and Viognier's silky mouthfeel. Get it before it's gone.

Alpha Omega 2008 Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California Wine, 750ml. Color: brilliant appearance with a deep color of yellow gold. On the nose: pineapple, melon, pear and ripe yellow cherry framed by vanilla bean, green apple and rhubarb lingering on floral touches of white rose and tulip with a hint of cedar wood and toasty oak. On the palate: full-bodied and textured supported by bright acidity which brings elegance and balance with notes of dried flowers, lavender, honeysuckle and pork-roast lingering on hints of vanilla, apricot, marzipan, white chocolate and fresh citrus fruits

375ml - Burgundian in sensibility but with California style is one way of describing Jim Clendenen's Chardonnays- Structure and restraint melded with bountiful opulence is another.
